This is the challah cover I’ve been dreaming of for years! I wanted to create a very pared-back, contemporary design of the Biblical Seven Species. It was also important to me to not include any words, so that this heirloom could be multi-purposed. My Favorite Ritual and Home Objects

When I was growing up, my Mom would always remind me that “objects have feelings, too, so we must treat them with great care.” As I’ve gotten older and built my own home, I am finally beginning to understand what she meant.
